As Artistic Director of Five Star Dinner Theatre, he brought successful productions of Nunsense, Nunsense II, and Forever Plaid to both the Hotel Moncton and Crystal Palace convention center. In the summer of 2000, Mr. McArdle founded the Hazy Grape Theatre Collective, which debuted with "Durangathon", a cabaret of absurdist and comedic plays at Monctonís Empress Theatre. Broadway musicals The Little Shop of Horrors and The Secret Garden followed on the Capitol Theatre main stage. 2010 & 2013 saw Mr. McArdle and MHS chosen as one of ten top Canadian High Schools selected to perform on the international stage at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Aside from Hazy Grape, Michael has taught youth theatre for the Capitol Theatre School and the NB provincial Drama Festival, and is the founding director of the musical theatre school The Center for Arts and Education founded by the Atlantic Ballet theatre of Canada.
